To be continued (us)

I counted days that passed
I thought it was finished at last?
The feelings that slowly lost
Is coming back at its most

I remember you said goodbye
My heart halt for that while
Why are you coming back to me
I'm confused please tell me

Will i have to endure the pain?
and stay being in vain?
We both know that you and me is wrong
Why do we have to continue this thing

POYMS: Personal Leadership Development Training (Philex ALS)

Personal Leadership Development Training is one of the most challenging program that our organization Philex and Outlying Youth Movers Society (POYMS) is conducting and implementing. June 25, 2014. Philex and Outlying Youth Movers Society (POYMS) was invited to conduct a Personal Leadership Training to the students of Philex Alternative Learning System. We prepared activities in line with the Objectives: 1. Participating in all the activities prepared by the facilitators. 2. Balance their emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects throughout the day. 3. Enhance their interpersonal skills by sharing and communicating with the group. 4. Identify, Appreciate and embrace their strength and weaknesses. 5. Open their minds and hearts on how important education is. At exactly 9:00 am the program started, with a prayer, led by a participant followed by Pambansang Awit, Opening Remarks and Introduction of the Facilitators and POYMS. Some of them heard about POYMS and some of them are able to recognize us because majority of them attended the Youth Development Camp which was held at Camp1, Ligay, Tuba, Benguet and which was conducted by POYMS. After introducing the group, we presented a video documentation of the Youth Development Camp and let them enumerate the learnings and changes they have seen from themselves.
The first activity was called “Crossing the Line”, this activity serves as an eye opener to all. They were able to see the strength and weakness of their classmates and peers and even helped us understand and appreciate the participants. The activity went emotional but, they were able to bring out their difficulties in life and true feelings. The crossing the line activity for Philex ALS was one of the most memorable and inspiring because we have gifted students as our participant, we have felt the sincerity when they Crossed the Line in the Question “Who among you have disability and experienced a subject for laughter?”. Everyone was silent at this moment and deep breath was all around the hall.
The second activity was called “Sunshine Card Game”. This game balances the mood of everyone from emotional to more open activity. The activity was about writing an observation either positive or negative and even a message. A piece of paper was stick on their back and everyone must write a message about the person about the person. We have observed that the students have been very open in giving messages to each other, comments like “God Bless You, Walang susuko.
After the sunshine card game we had film viewing of inspiring videos touching their emotions and spiritual aspect and we let them summarize and process the videos. After which, the “Tower Building” was created by the group. Each group was given a pack of drinking straw and one roll of masking tape, the objective was to create the tallest and stiffest tower in 30minutes time, it lasted until lunch time.
In the afternoon, we started with the group dynamics or the activity proper, the following activities are; “Newspaper Dance”, “Cup Passing”, “Rope Passing”, “Blind Maze” and “Blind Spell”. Every after activity we are processing everything and relating activities to real life experiences.
For our final and closing program, the group explained the tower buildings that they had created. These tower buildings were processed and relate to the activities throughout the day. It also serves as the evaluation of the POYMS facilitator to the ALS learners and ALS learners to the POYMS facilitators.
The PLD ended with a surprise awarding which reward the outstanding and most cooperative ALS learners and finally a prayer.

BAGPACKERS: Aurora Province

Day 1 (December 26, 2014) We arrived at Baler, Aurora at 6:00pm. We palnned to buy our necessities first because the bus terminal was on the Balers' Public market. After getting all the necessary things for our three days of stay we already proceeded at our accomodation, The Secret Spot which is located at Brgy. Sabang, Aurora, Baler.
Secret Spot is awesome! It was a cool and relaxing place. It is located at the sea side were the waves of the ocean is a music to our ears. We were also able to meet the owner of the Secret Spot, Tita Rose she is very accommodating, hospitable and even opened their home for cooking our foods.
After showering and taking a short rest we decided to cook our dinner so we could totally sleep and prepare for the whole day tour tomorrow. Day 2 (December 27, 2014) We woke up 4:30am, we were able to sleep very well with the sound of the ocean waves and comfortable sleeping place. Upon waking up we had our breakfast, took picture of the beautiful Sabang beach and prepare ourselves for the whole day tour.
The scheduled tour was 7:00am. We were the ones who prepared for our itinerary and gaved it to our tricycle driver. Our driver wanted to be called Kuya Totoy, he also served as our tour guide on our trip. Our first stop was at the so called "Mother Falls" located at Brgy. Ditumabo, San Luis, Aurora it was 30 min away from Baler, Aurora. When we reached the Tourism Stall the tourism officer interviewed our driver for awhile and so we discovered that he was not accredited by the Tourism Department, anyway, our tour pushed through with him. He lead us to the Mother Falls parking area and in just reaching the area it was already beautiful! and you could see different food stalls and kubo that you could rent.
It was 8:30 am when we begun trekking going to Mother Falls. The trek was an amazing adventure! There were bamboo bridges crossing; River crossing (the flow of the water was really strong); and the Walking for 30 minutes. Everything that we have seen was amazing going to the Mother Falls and when you reach the MOTHER FALLS it is more even amazing, it was really beautiful and we have discovered that the Mother Falls is a source of electricity at San Luis, Aurora it answers why the current of the water on the river was strong! It was really Fun! I would want to go back and trek again!
Our second stop was the Millennium Balete Tree located at Ma.Aurora,Aurora. When we arrived the place, I was amazed how beautiful it is, I have seen it in many photos online and even more amazing in person. We payed the entrance fee first before taking pictures and selfies on it. The Balete tree is amazing on it's outer view but more amazing on its inner view! YES! inner view because you can enter inside it. Be amazed!
Our third stop was at Ermita Hill located at Baler, Aurora. The view was amazing you could see the beautiful Beach of Baler, it was breath taking. The stories and the history of the Ermita Hill was also inspiring. I am also inspired with the statues of the Family who survived the tsunami on the 80's. Amazing story.
Our fourth and last stop on the day is the Aniao Islets still located at Baler, Aurora. It was 20 min away from the Ermita Hill. When we arrived at Aniao Islets it was also an amazing and a unique beach view. You could see small like islands on the floor of the beach and you can step on it! From those islets the starfish are clearly seen.
We returned to our accommodation at exactly 5:00pm. When we arrived, we rested and cooked for our dinner and Finally sleep for we were tired during the tour. Day 3 (December 28, 2014) This is our last stay at Baler, Aurora. We woke up 6:00am and had our breakfast. We also had picture taking and selfies, after which, We prepared to leave. We bid goodbye to Tita Rose who accommodated us for 2 Nights/3 Days, she even hugged us to say goodbye and to thank us.
Before finally leaving Baler we took photos of the lettering BALER at Plaza and try eating at the rolling stones area. We leave Baler at 1:00pm and reach Baguio at 8:00pm
If you are an adventurous person Aurora Province is a must to visit! Aside from the beautiful places of the Province, the prices of the goods are also cheap.
